Igniting the Spark of Life in people with dementia

Sir Owen Glenn

Sir Owen Glenn becomes Honorary Global Ambassador for Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life

It is with great pleasure and appreciation that we announce today that Acclaimed Philanthropist Sir Owen Glenn of the Glenn Family Foundation is Honorary Global Ambassador for Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life.
“I am proud to accept this award,” Sir Owen responded.

Sir Owen is the Executive Producer of Ruby’s Choice, the Australian Feature film by Amazing People Pictures starring Jane Seymour OBE.

“On behalf of the Glenn Family Foundation, I have funded the production of Ruby’s Choice because this film is perception shifting and will reduce the stigma of dementia. In addition I have chosen to donate my share of the profit from the film to Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life to make a lasting difference to the lives of people with dementia around the world. This Foundation is the official charity associated with the film because of the natural synergy with Ruby’s Choice, and that it works Globally to transform the experience of dementia from being disempowered and forgotten, to being emotionally connected and their voices being heard,” Sir Owen said.

Sir Owen formed The Glenn Family Foundation in the 1980’s. His Foundation supports charities, institutions and individuals around the globe in the upliftment of communities and alleviation of suffering. The philosophy of Sir Owen is in offering a hand up, not a hand out, and in so building communities that are empowered, self-sustaining and proud.
