Live Wire Fundraiser

In November 2018, Live Wire held tribute concerts in Mandurah & Perth, Western Australia, for the late Malcolm Young, (Rock&Roll Icon and co-founder of AC/DC), raising funds for the Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life. This turbo-charged music raised the roof & raised much needed money for a worthy cause.

Jane Verity & Hilary Lee, representing the Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life, attended in Perth to share their appreciation to Kevin
Gohrt, the band manager, the band and the support crew for Live Wire, as well as the special guest Skenie, for supporting the work of the Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life.

Riding For Dementia – Update September 2018

In August 2016, David Wren, a professional golfer & advocate for Spark of Life, started a 24,000km journey cycling from Ireland across the world to NSW, Australia. Well, it’s now September 2018 & David is back in the saddle, travelling through the Middle East to raise funds for Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life.

David writes, ‘I’m back on the bike & tracking down the West Coast of Morocco & left Casablanca 12 days ago. Last 4 days spent crossing the western end of the Atlas mountain range. Hills are always tough!  The last 400kms will be the Sahara Desert highway with only three stops scheduled due to lack of civilization.’

David invites you to donate in support of his Ride for Dementia.

Kalamunda Rotaract Sausage Sizzle

Along with the support of Kalamunda Bunnings, members of the Kalamunda Rotaract Club in Perth, Western Australia, organized a sausage sizzle for the local community to raise funds for the Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life. After 6 hours of sizzling, the sausages were a complete sell-out and the group raised a wonderful $454.65 for the foundation.

Our genuine appreciation go to Hayley Frazer-Eaton, President of the Kalamunda Rotaract Club, all the club members, and to Bunnings Kalamunda for their support.
