KeriKeri Retirement Village

Kathy Renner is the Clinical Manager of Kerikeri Retirement Village, in the beautiful Bay of Islands, New Zealand and is a Spark of Life Master Practitioner. Kerikeri Retirement Village is a not for profit community trust that cares for almost 200 residents.

Kathy looks after the clinical needs of her community and supports everyone working in the community to be the best they can be.

Kathy was originally working in Administration Management, when she decided to pursue a Bachelor of Nursing. She has experience in intensive care, accident and emergency and orthopedics with further extensive expertise in Aged Care nursing and management.

“I am committed to enriching the lives of my wider community to feel loved, needed, empowered and have wonderful self-esteem”.

With the full support of the Board and CEO, Kathy has commenced the implementation of the Spark of Life Philosophy for the benefit of all the residents, staff, volunteers and relatives.

Levin

Matai Cottage at Levin Homes for War Veterans

Levin Homes are part of the Enliven Presbyterian Support group and is a community of 100 residents and 120 staff. Matai Cottage is part of Levin Homes for War Veterans and is a small stand-alone home providing care for 18 people who have dementia.

The leadership of Enliven Presbyterian Support has a strong commitment towards the Spark of Life Philosophy. Matai Cottage is in the early stages of the journey to become a Spark of Life Centre of Excellence.

Davina Rawiri, Spark of Life Master Practitioner

Davina is the Enliven Educator for the Northern Region and the Spark of Life Master Practitioner implementing the philosophy into Matai Cottage at Levin Homes for War Veterans.

Davina is of Maori descent and a strong advocate for preserving and honouring Maori culture.
